I'm trying to access a cable modem on port ttyS0 with minicom. No luck at all. "Operation not permitted" while invoking minicom with: >#:minicom -o console.

Could anybody point me in the right direction?

Hmm, I think, the modem hangs. I'll check this on monday.

Yep, modem was dead.
