Normally DNS forwarding works without issue. What sorts of errors are you experiencing?

I too have same sort of issue.
I have a mail server running in sme server. After couple of minutes it stops resolving any domain name unless I restart the machine. I have tried clearing dns cache I also tried changing DNS ip ( in resolv.conf) to the ISP'S dns server.

Still no result.

in my experience problems like this can be solved using the ISP dns server (go in console -> configure this server)

if you start iptraf from CLI, you should se a "flood" of udp packets in both directions
