I want to use an SME server for my classroom so students can use email, but I do not want email to leave that server. If I change the gateway, it will block it, but I can't get updates, etc.

How can I restrict email to the servers address only??

You could block outgoing SMTP traffic in your firewall, from the sme servers IP, but may I ask why you want to do this?

That's basically what I did, I was just wondering if there was an easy way in SME to do it.

Why you ask, our students do not have email accounts, and it was easier to  sell to administration for students internal use only. It would have been a hassle if the email left my classroom, too many hoops to jump through.
