Problem with Durep (Saco)
« on: September 25, 2009, 10:48:02 AM »
I cannot get smeserver-durep-saco to work any longer on recent installations.  I wonder if anyone has experienced this issue.  As far as I know, the package is not really supported, and has to be installed from rpms.

The server is a fresh installation of 7.4 with all updates. Rpms used are:
Data-Dumper.pm-2.07-3.i386.rpm  MLDBM.pm-1.21-4.i386.rpm  smeserver-durep-saco-1.0.3-02sn.noarch.rpm

The packages appear to install OK, but when accessing Durep, I get the following message:
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, admin@xxxxx.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

From /var/log/httpd/error_log:
[Fri Sep 25 18:07:35 2009] [error] [client 192.168.0.1] Can't use string ("\x04\x06\x041234\x04\x04\x04\b\x04\x03\t") as a HASH ref while "strict refs" in use at /var/www/html/durep/durep.cgi line 335., referer: https://192.168.0.11/server-manager/navigation
[Fri Sep 25 18:07:35 2009] [error] [client 192.168.0.1] Premature end of script headers: durep.cgi, referer: https://192.168.0.11/server-manager/navigation

[Note: 192.168.0.1 is the workstation used to access server-manager if server at 192.168.0.11]

Any assistance would be very appreciated, this package is extremely useful for large file servers, one of mine just crashed last night, rebuilding it from backup.
Thanks.

I thought durep stopped working a long time ago, and there wasn't an obvious fix

I've been using http://wiki.contribs.org/Diskusage smeserver-diskusage

Thanks Stephen. Funny thing is, I still have Durep on a couple of box installed in the days of version 7.1 and now up to 7.4, and it is still working OK.  Only new installation fails...

Bob, no reply to date.
I suspect it to be a lost cause, and a great pity.  This contrib was the best tool we had to track usage right down to individual files for users of interest in no time at all. I now have to get this sort of info manually from CL, a real pain...  When releasing version 7.0, I had contributed some dollars to get this contrib upgraded and would again be willing to chip in if someone is willing to fix it and maintain it, if affordable. Any takers?
