Topic: Installation of Squeezeboxserver-7.4.1-1 on SME 7.4 not working

Hello,

actually Im using an SME 7.4 with all Upgrades. Also installed on it a Squeezeboxserver 7.3 and its running ok.
Now theres a new Version (squeezeboxserver-7.4.1-1) of Squeezeboxserver and I installed ist using "yum localinstall squeezeboxserver-7.4.1-1.noarch.rpm".
Installation is proceeding but with one comment:
"/var/tmp/rpm-tmp.25541: line 23: db: command not found"
After Installation asking for the status of squeezeboxserver ist says:
" squeezeboxserver tot, aber Subsystem gesperrt " (squeezeboxserver dead, but Subsystem locked "

Can anybody tell me what to do?

thanks. I've read it before but now tried it again with Dags enabled.
But there's no effect, I get exact the same as before....

I think there's something wrong with the last version.. so you should contact the developers

Yes, I think I'll do that. Meanwhile Itried to install it on SME 8 B4 and its the same...

Now its more clear:
- There are two versions of the software: Squeezecenter (older) and Squeezeboxserver (newer)
- I had problems with the newer version but it seems that Im not the only one...
- better is to use the older version its running correctly
