Topic: INSTALL PROBLEM and CDROM

I am new to linux so I found out about e-smith, I jumped at the chance to install.

I am having a problem getting pass the the LOAD MODULE screen for the CDROM.

I have a Goldstar IDE CDROM model 8240B rom v1.02. I did not see this model on the list. I tried all the models(with autoprobe) but none worked.

Is this CDROM drive supported or do I have to use another?

I had this problem with an acer cdrom drive once. I saved myself the pain of trying to get it to work and stole one from a different computer If you can do this i would, you dont need the cdrom once you get it all installed.
