Topic: Affa backup server needs to migrate to new hardware

What is the best way to move the existing archives from the old hardware to my new Affa backup SME Server?  I will be re-tasking the old server.

Is this as simple as installing Affa on the new server, setting up the Affa job on the new server, and then copying the Affa archives from the the old to the new? or does Affa keep track of the archives in a database that would not be updated?  (I cannot just move a hard disk - change from ATA to SATA hardware).

You can simply install AFFA on the new backup server and back up the old backup server, making sure you get the production server backup files. Then run AFFA -rise on the new server and you are done.
