Topic: Subversion contrib on SME Server 8.x BETA?

Does anyone know if it's possible to get the Subversion contrib to work on SME 8 BETA? It doesn't seem to install using the instructions for SME 7, it tells me:

 "No package smeserver-subversion available."

SME8 is still in beta and no contribs are released in this stage yet. Testing of the contribs against SME8 is in progress, but subversion has not been tested yet,  see: SME8.0 Contribs QA

That page also tells you how you can install it if you want, and if you decide to test it, please report back on that page if it works or not and file a bug if it does not.

Thanks, that's what I needed to know. The answer is: it's broken.

I get this error message:
 mod_dav_svn-1.4.6.0.2.el4.rf.i386 from smecontribs has depsolving problem.
  --> missing dependency: libaprutil-0.so.0 is needed by package subversion-1.4.6 ... etc. etc. etc.

I'll file a bug.

When I got to report the bug, there's no option to choose SME 8.0, it only lists up to 7.4. How can I file it against 8.0?

It is not a bug it is just that there is not SME Contribs repository for SME Server 8 and therefore dependencies are not resolved by yum. You need to do this manaully, so you will also have to find all packages that are needed and download them as well.

Since I am the author of the smeserver-subversion contrib I can assure you once you have resolved all of them it should work on SME Server 8 as well as there is no code in there that should not work on SME Server 8.
