Topic: server hangs at start up, mysql error

Hi Guys,
This server has been running for the past 3 years or so without any problems, no changes were made, but 2 days ago it went out, I restarted it and it hand on boot up at this line:
Starting mysql.init
Something is wrong with the database, ( may be hacked) any ideas how to solve this problem?
All help will be appreciated
