Is there a specific reason why the statistics of forum are not public?

What stats do you mean? Why would you need them?

For me say:

Fumetto

If I click on your username at left of forum post, or anyone else's username for that matter, then click on Show Stats, I see your/their user stats OK.

Please search before asking, an answer may already exist.

Yes... I think...

There is no problem, mine was just curiosity. Is there a specific reason for not making public the statistics of the Forum (total users, total number of posts, statistical averages ...)?

I just want to know if it was a choice motivated by systems engineering or other...
considered that there was no reply I guess it is ... unknown  :-P

No reason I know of, when we converted to smf it just happened that was switched off or maybe the forum stats were disabled by default and were never thought to be enabled :)

I don't think there was no choice involved, it was as simple as left what ever was the default.

If you want to know more or see the feature enabled then I suggest you open a bug ticket on the tracker under website :)

Thanks.

Mary, I believe Fumetto was talking about the stats at the bottom of the main forum page with the graph symbol which is the page not visible.

That is the default forum permission for regular users and it has never been changed (no one has ever asked before now that I know of).  By default, the only users allowed to view the stats are administrators.
