Need to enable WebDAV for calendar sharing
« on: May 26, 2010, 06:21:12 PM »
So I've been through the Wiki and it points to a page marked for deletion.  Here in the forums there is a post from early 2009 that points to Zarafa.  I can't find Zafara so I'm assuming it's not an option for me.

I'm running 7.4 in server/gateway mode right now and need to be able to publish my calendar with iCal on a Mac to a folder that supports WebDAV so my family can subscribe to the cal via webcal://my.domain.org/cal/Job.ics.  I created an i-bay named "cal" and set up the appropriate permissions on this folder/group.

How do I enable WebDAV on this folder or the server as a whole?

Steps in that DAV wiki were perfect!  Thank you very much.  Now if only we can get it boosted to the top of Google's search results. :p

It might depend on the keywords, but if I enter DAV it is the first one. What did you enter in the search box?

WebDAV

And then I'd also do one with WebDAV calendar.

Just DAV works, but I didn't know to look for that since iCal walks about WebDAV enabled hosts.

I updated the summary a bit, now it is up to Google again ;-)

There is a full list of all Contrib wiki articles here

and it clearly lists Zarafa

Thanks for your help there guys.  It turns out I really didn't need it because the DAV wiki is what I needed.  It does just what I need it to do.  Fact is I don't even know what Zafara does other than one of my searches referred to it for getting WebDAV working.  Now it's not relevant to me.  Thanks again for your concern though.  I didn't search the wiki for it but searched in my available contribs in my add-ons.

I know you don't need it any more, but you were mixing up the spelling: Zarafa and Zafara

Cheers
