Topic: date stamp different to CMOS date

I created a shared folder on my sme server, but n e files I create in the folder from other workstations, the date stamp of the files r wrong.  eg created a tex file in the folder and the date stamp was 23 jun 2.09 when it should have been 22 jun 4.00. The CMOS date and time is correct on the server. Can n e one help

The CMOS date/time should be set to UTC, not your local time - it's also worth setting the NTP time syncronisation up so that the server time will always be correct.

Hi Nick,
Thanks for yr reply, i will try it. I have set this system up as a server only with no access to the internet, i am settin up another sever as a gateway for internet access for all the workstations, can the server access the gateway for time sync without being exposed to the internet.
