There's no simple way to create a slave zone.

You could set up tinydns on a server on your other network, and use scp to copy the data file. Or you could set up dnscache on the other network, assuming that you only wish to cover for short outages.

Why do you want to create  a slave zone? Is your server and/or network that unreliable?

Not really, its just that on that particular network there's only a few computers and they all have statics, so I was thinking of least admin effort way of transferring the zone across and then cutting network traffic, think it'll be easier for me to just create a primary zone on the other network and manually add the A records to it...

dnscache can do that for you.
