We have release new smeserver-sogo rpm and smeserver-sogo-thunderbird for auto-create sogo addon.
You can install/update it follow this doc http://wiki.contribs.org/Sogo
For thundirbird you can download and install sogo-integrator from https://smeserver.domain/sogo-plugins, i shouldn't modify integrator with smeserver dns, it's complete. Other addons (lightning + connector) are downloaded and installed automatically
Can anyone test it ?

The Installation went fine on a fresh installed/updated sme8b6 (proxmox kvm-guest) after I installed libevent-1.1a-3.2.1.i386.rpm.

What I cannot do/understand is:

Download  and install smeserver-sogo-thunderbird from nethesis repository, then you can find on
https://smeserver.domain/sogo-plugins
the sogo-integrator...xpi, download and install it on your thunderbird. This addon install automatically lightning and connector, and it's configured yet for point to smeserver host: https://smename.domain.ext/SOGo (it should be resolved)
At this point you have your thunderbird ready for interact with sogo
Is it clear?

Ok, plugin-installation went also fine, now its time to test the integration. Do you have some basic step-by-step examples of what we should test ?

Nothing to test, after insert sogo pass, you should see all your sogo calendar and all your addressbook.

it doesn't work for me; if I go to https://smeserver.domain/sogo-plugins I get a 404 error page

where can I look for errors?
and, where can I submit bugs and patches for smeserver-sogo?

ok.. smeserver-sogo-thunderbird installed, got /sogo-plugins but:

if I try to install sogo-integrator-0.101-sogo.xpi I get, from my tb 3.1.4 on ubuntu 10.04:

Inverse SOGo Integrator 0.101 non può essere installato perché incompatibile con Mozilla Thunderbird 3.1.4.

(in english is "Inverse SOGo 0.101 can not be installed because it's not compatible with Mozilla Thunderbird 3.1.4.)

EDIT: removed TB3.1.4 and installed 3.0.8.. same error.. I will investigate

any hint?

It worked for me with xppsp3 and Thunderbird 2.0.0.24, I think its only for 2.x ...

Only with TB 2.* for now, for TB3 you can use tb3 addon on sogo.nu
