sorry if this has been asked before
customer requires 24/7 mail server - dialup access
what changes are needed to diald scripts to
keep link up longer than 10 mins

running on ver 3.1 server

If this works we have 5 clients waiting

If you don't want to use the 4.0 beta or wait for the 4.0 release (4.0 has permanent dialup as a standard feature), then
you could try my patched e-smith 3.1 RPMs from http://e-smith.gormand.com.au/ (these RPMs also include groups, printers and e-mail aliases).

Or you could just add a single line containing "up" in the template for /etc/diald.conf. See http://www.e-smith.org/custom/ for documentation to help you customise your server.

thanks to both Charlieb and Gormand - 3.1 works very well
and the 4.0 beta has just past 7 days uptime
