Topic: smeserver-thinclient on SME 7.5.1

Hi all

I could do with some help running smeserver-thinclient on (seems all versions) SME 7.5.1

This particular server runs SME 7.5.1 and smeserver-thinclient-2.0-5

When you have two or more distributions available to boot your clients from you can control each individually.
On the Thin Clients menu in Server Manager there is the option "Individually Controlled Workstations"

If I add one of my Thin Clients MAC addresses to this so it boots a different distro to other machines all of a sudden I no longer get the IP Address specified to this machine via the hostname table.

I have seen this on previous SME versions also but can not quite remember if we solved it or not.

It may seem a bit over the top but apart from tidy management of IP addresses and hostnames we need to print via the USB on the Thin Clients - directed to it via IP, with a DHCP assigned IP this can only cause problems.

If I remove the MAC address of this Thin Client from the individually controlled pane it will once again get its correct IP from the hostname table.

Does anyone have info or insight in to what I am missing here ?

sorry everyone I found an issue with my syntax of the MAC address (can not believe I did not see that).
