Make and rpm

I need to have make command to compile irc bot's an bouncers. SME server 5.1.2 don't have make command. so i try to install make package from red hat linux, but SME don't have rpm command, so i can not install any rpm package. how can i resolve this problem... Sorry my english because i'm not english...

Yes, SME does have the RPM command. What happens when you try it?
