TFTP Server (on client-pc)via E-smith Router
« on: July 02, 2002, 06:16:22 PM »
I want to use TFTP server on my client (XP) ,
i used the port forwarding from the server-manager.
check this image to see the settings: http://www.666angel.com/tftp.jpg

the program TFTP Server PRO is online on ip: 192.168.209.65 port:69
i forwarded the port with te forward tool in the server manager.
(see pic)
(protocol=tcp,ext port=69,Dest ipadres=192.168.209.65,Dest port=69
It doesn't work this way...
Does anybody know what i'm doing wrong?

I have the same setup, but with ServU as my FTP server sitting behind the e-smith 5.5 box on port 57.

I can get a prompt asking for the user name and password (from outside), but that's where it ends.  I try and type "dir" to see a list of dir's on my server, and it just hangs.

Are there other ports i need to open to get this working?

Thanks

Ash

PS.  I have the default ftp server running under E-smith, and that works without a problem.
