virtual domain ibay access
« on: April 12, 2011, 06:40:28 AM »
I am trying to find clarification on accessing ibays using a virtual domain added using external internet web access
The below thread has some info but not quiet what i was looking for in terms of resolution.
http://forums.contribs.org/index.php/topic,39335.msg179787.html

Is there a way to simply mimic direct ibay web access using virtual domains to those same ibays that are set for internet access for the primary domain.

I do understand you can direct a virtual domain to a particular singular ibay in the server-manager panel under virtual domains.

Can you explain what you want, perhaps with an example as the enquirer gave in the thread you cited? At the moment I really cannot fathom what you mean.

i would like for a virtual domain to act just like the primary domain in that you can access all the ibays made available by internet or intranet to be the same way as the primary domain acts.

ex:
i have two  registered domans, one abc.com and xyx.com and both have external dns service for both domains.
So if an ibay named "support" is set to let internet users access the "support" ibay, then the ibay could be accessed like www.xyz.com/support as well as the primary domain www.abc.com/support.

If this is just not possible, then ok, but if it is possible, then i wonder what i am doing wrong in my setting inside smeserver for the virtual domain "xyz.com that is not allowing me to do that.
