Topic: Am i open for email relay ?

Hello all,

Am i open for email relay when i configure the sme server in server-only mode ?

I have the internet connection on another router in my network, so for the sme server to act as an email server i have to open port 25 on the firewall and forward it to my sme server.

But in this case ( the router uses NAT ) everyone who wants to send an email, will be coming in on the local network. So they only have to figure out my domainname and the can start spamming....

Or am i missing something...

If you want to be sure, go to www.ordb.org and let them test your e-mail server. I'm also running e-smith with the standard settings and my server isn't open to relay.
