Topic: problems with ftp downloads

Hi list,
maybe I totally missed something or am completely stupid.

I cant get any ( ftp ) downloads from local ( internal ) clients connecting an outside ftpserver work.
sme 5.5 is used as my firewall.

Getting desperate  - any help would be highly appriciated.

Well ladies and gentlemen,

next try from a desperate man :

Still no way for ftp downloads.
SME 5.1.2 with update_2, public server and gateway, static ip, leased line.
Clients I've tried : konqueror, Navigator, IE 6.0, cuteftp, wsftp_pro, commandline ftp on linux and win xp.

In case a download starts, it always stucks at 33 - 36 percent with resume not working at all ( + 0% ).

As loosing more and more hair any hint would be very appriciated ( even if it was a "rtfm" telling me which ).

Well Ralph,

looks like the problem I had some time ago, all my downloads were never able to perform correctly, finally this was a issue to the NIC's, some have been in full duplex mode, some not, so I set all to half duplex and from then on all worked perfect.
Not sure, if this will help you to solve it, but it's an idea.
