Sorry that I write on the board, but devinfo e-mail devinfo@e-smith.net does not work for me now.
I still has problems with mail server, no more with web in e-smith 4.0b6 it was corrected (actually i tricked the system by saying to it that my ftp and web servers hosted at my ISP, entered my own external address and now all request to
www.esman.ee goes to my server; unfortunately "external hosting feature does not include to point my mail server as it was with web and ftp, please add this possibility)
Why the problem was solved? it is because in e-smith DNS web and ftp point to my external address 194.204.27.165, but mail points to internal address 192.168.87.1 (I need it to present itself as 194.204.27.165)
here is what telnet reports on my mail server
for SMPT
220 esman.ee ESMPT (I can send messages and in the header they come from 194.204.27.165 ns.esman.ee
for POP3
+OK <1166.954773055@localhost> (This response only can be seen inside my LAN although public access is enabled. Outside world can't find my mail server as it searches for 192.168.87.1 not 194.204.27.165)

P.S. Why now i am absolutely sure that the problem is in e-smith? It is because for the sake of the test I installed NT4.0 server with Netscape messaging server and everything worked well.
