Using Webshare with Ibay and SME Users [Solved]
« on: January 24, 2012, 11:43:58 PM »
Hi

There is a bug submitted HERE.

8.ob7 installation using Webshare contrib to date has been OK, works fine when the patch for SME 8.0 is used, however when attempting to setup Webshare with ibays & SME users as described in the contrib HERE I have been unable to get it to work, the custom template causes a loss of http and no web access is possible ie server manager is not accessable from a browswer or from the console. When the custom template is removed usage of webshare returns to normal and http access is restored.

When there is an existing webshare setup and in use this is the error messagein the httpd error log

[Mon Jan 23 19:23:49 2012] [notice] Graceful restart requested, doing restart
[Mon Jan 23 19:23:49 2012] [warn] The Alias directive in /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf at line 852 will probably never match because it overlaps an earlier Alias.
Syntax error on line 862 of /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf:
AuthUserFile takes 1-2 arguments, text file containing user IDs and passwords

While the basic install of Webshare is OK has anyone been able to get it to work using Webshare with ibays & SME users, if yes how?

Thank You

Might have answered my own question, when copy/pasting from the contrib howto to the editor in SME a couple of stray carriage returns were being added to the end of two lines in the custom template hence breaking http conf..more to follow pending more testing

Was also my less than adequate reading skills and interpretation of the Contrib howto..

There is also a syntax error in one of the commands, I have requested write access to the wiki to fix it, just a simple directory error..
