Pci-e NIC suggestion
« on: February 13, 2012, 07:40:15 PM »
hi all,

I'm going to buy a new machine and I wonder which NIC PCI-express I can buy to be sure it'll work with Sme Server 7.5.1 with a fresh installation.

The machine will have an Embedded NC107i PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet Server Adapter, and for the second eth I'll available:
Slot 1: PCI-Express Gen 2 x16 connector with x16 link
Slot 2: PCI-Express Gen 2 x1 connector with x1 Link

Thanks for any suggestion,
Nicola

choose one RH4 certified.. I would take a look at one Intel's chipset based (e1000 module)

Stefano,

thank to your suggestion I found:
http://www.intel.com/cd/products/services/emea/ita/embedded/server_adapters/339409.htm?cid=emea:ggl|laditaly_serv_adap|k4AE2|s#s1=Gigabit%20Ethernet&s2=all&s3=all

which one would you choose? or, do you have any particular model type to restrict my research?
