Calling Number Display and Sail v3.1 with SPA3201 ATA Setup
« on: March 03, 2012, 02:48:12 AM »
Hi All

Have been using Sail for some time now.  Have always used an ATA for the landline and a number of VOIP trunks.

I followed a setup procedure for the SPA3201 to get it to work with Sail v3.1 and haven't been able to get the calling number to come though. Can anyone help me reconfigure to get this to work?

Interesting; I wonder whether ATA support is broken in the current version. I have had similar issues with 3.1. Perhaps you could take a look at this thread and contribute?

David, All

Thanks for the thread. I have the ATA registered and it work perfectly.  All I'm looking for is the CALLING NUMBER DISPLAY to come through.  What I'm getting at the moment is the peer number.

This is an Asterisk/spa issue rather than anything to do with sark itself.  The best place to look at stuff for the spa used to be voxilla - here is an example http://forum.voxilla.com/threads/spa3102-and-cli.17437/

CLI varies enormously from country to country so you will need to understand how CLI is delivered by your telco.  There is no simple answer I'm afraid. However, if you set the spa up correctly, there is not usually anything to do in Asterisk, it will just arrive.

Kind Regards

S

S or anyone who can help

The SPA3102 is working perfectly all except the CND. I have is setup in the TRUNKLINE and under the peer tab "Asterisk peer" is peer4805.

This peer number (peer4805) is what comes though when a inbound call comes.

I remember I did have it working correctly when the SPA3102 was connected to a SAIL/SME machine using SME7.x (Now using the latest ISO for SAIL/SME)

In the web config screens the CND of an inbound number is displayed correctly with the right number (tested and found correct)

This is really annoying. I really would like to get this working.

Is there someone with a working SPA3102 in Australia that could help and/or is there a website with all the correct information on it that would assist me to get this working.

Hi All,

I also would like to get a working setup SailPBX and SPA3102 with working callerID, I had this running for more than a year but could also not get a working CallerID ...

At the moment I use another PBX (Gemeinschaft 3.1) with a working CallerID setup, I had to spend some time to get this working, the difference is there is only a trunk for incomming and outgoing calls. There is no need to configure a Extension ...

fpausp & All

I the found a problem that might not be obvious.

You need to change a setting in the "PSTN Line" tab. Look for "PSTN Answer Delay:" under the section "FXO Timer Values (sec)" and change to at least "2".  Anything less and the Caller ID signal won't be detected by the SPA3102 and passed to SAIL

After changing this all works
