Charlie, I doubt this is a bug in SME Server, could be wrong, but looks more like a bug with the update servers

Also, I searched the topic and got ZERO hits

so I've done the fix from sticky note 1,   thx for the hint.   It would have been helpful if the actual error message was recorded in the sticky note so it would have been searchable.
