Topic: Upgrade problems 5.1.2 -> 5.5

Hi there,

I want to update my server from 5.1.2 to 5.5. I have downloaded the image, compared the checksum and burned the CD. The box is booting from CD but after the screen changes to blue and for 1 second the welcome message is there, I got the notice: "install exited abnormally -- recieved signal 11".

Is anybody able to help me whats going wrong?

sig11 points in the most cases to bad hardware. try changing your RAM, check CPU temperature.. stuff like this.. do you have Signal 11 errors with other software to from time to time?
