Setting Up FAX transmission and receivial on SAIL

Hi All

I am interested in setting up a fax machine within my SME/SAIL server. I have looked at http://wiki.contribs.org/IAXModem_with_Sail_and_HylaFax and think this is the way I want to go as I don't have a dialup modem in the server.

Is there anything that I need to know before I start the install process?

I plan to use an inbound trunk dedicated to fax from my voip provider.

My system details are as follows

Asterisk 1.8.5.0
SAIL Release #: 3.1.1-4

I have already done some research and only ask questions if I still can't work it out.

Hi Moglj
We have IAX modem working as sorts on asterisk 1.8.7.0-2. Basically setup templates instead of db commands for the modem definition.
But do see some issues with T.30 protocol and from what I have read would be better to be on T.38. But still working on that.
