Topic: sme 8 fresh installation can't get pass the admin pass setup

Hi guys,

Been a long time user of the SME Server, even back in the E-Smith days!

Well today I setup a new machine in our apartment! All went well, installation etc but a quiet strange problem arrived after the first boot!

First question is about restoring the backup which was answered NO, of course!

Then comes the admin pass setup, all done but soon as you enter the pass again comes the restore question again, and when you obviously select/click no takes you back to the admin pass setup. And it loops and loops so...

Already installed everything for the second time but same problem still comes....

Any help would be much appreciated!

Already have done! But it's such a major bug that it deserve to be here as well I think.

ive played with sme 8 well before now. Havnt seen this. Is it really old hardware?

James, if you think you can help to diagnose the problem, please do so in the bug tracker. There's no value in splitting information between here and there.
