Topic: SME Server and Home Server Backup

Hi all,

It turns out that in the company where I have installed SME Server 8.0beta7 (Main), and I have another server where you install SME Server 8.0 (not beta) (Backup), I have created with the same host name and an account the other server, I'm trying to make is that if things in life, I drop the first server the other server up and thus keep the operation of the users.

This morning, turn the Main Server, connect the Backup Server has the same settings and same IP as the primary server, configure the account in POP3 I put first by IP and it worked wonderfully external e-mail command, but then POP3 mail.midominio.com I called him and I went to check the configuration error of mail, some use outlook2010 and can not do more, I did this test because I have used this external users where email and the Server Home and works out well when I placed mail.midominio.com POP3, but the backup does not work when put mail.midominio.com POP3.

Please if you were so kind to help me they were grateful, because before this issue and tried to configure this Backup Server for a week doing tests and have had no success, I thank your help beforehand.

This is only mail server when you install the new backup server would try to restore the backup I made a Home Server USB, but I did not recognize the USB into the part that says restore backup when I do the installation from zero, I'm new to this world of SME Server and I hope I can help other details I can give?
