Topic: Can not change/delete trunk

Hi Team,

I've installed latest 2.x sail with Asterisk 1.4 as per the sail wiki.

I've added a trunk (as a test) and need to remove it (or change it) but whatever I do, the trunk keeps coming back with the initial (test) values. (save-commit)

Any idea?

have you checked the permissions on the underlying db files? (they are in home/e-smith/db -  look for selintra and selintra-work)
Have you checked the apache logs to see if there are errors?  look at /var/log/httpd/admin_error_log

Hi,

it's a default install without any changes to the how-to. What permission should be in place please? for I could add the test trunk. Simply cannot change/delete it.

perms should be 640 and ownership should be root:admin

which actual release did you install?

...and, just out of interest, what name did you give to the trunk?

Hi,

sorry but I removed all 2.x files (as installed per the how-to) and switched to 3.2.0-16.

Reason for me to install 2.6 in the first place was that I have had rock solid experience with it, whilst 3.2.0-xx gave me some problems (minor ones) and I was in doubt of the extra overhead of a second http server.

3.2.0-16 runs fine now on SME8 64-bit following the how-to http://www.sailpbx.com/mediawiki/index.php/Beta_V3R2 ,replacing the required perl modules with specific 64-bit ones.

Btw, the sail web manager window title still shows 3.1 where I was expecting to see 3.2.0-16. Hence me being confused several times and double checking if I had installed the correct sail en sme-environment rpm's.

OK - no problems.  Extra webserver may actually lower overall CPU usage because it is running mod-perl which eases perl execution overhead (or should).

Where is it showing 3.1?  In the globals info window or somewhere else?

It shows 3.1 in the browser window/tab title when entering sail manager.
