No matter how I try it my poweredge 1400 won't do software scsi raid. Everything is detected just fine. Install goes great. But when boot time comes I get VFS: cannot open root device 08:06 kernel panic:VFS:unable to mount root fs on 08:06.
I'm thinking about hardware raid, probably a milex 170 to get around this. Am I crazy? Ideas?
