I set the server up at work on that network. Then relocated it to home, hence the different IP address. I do this routinely with the linux phone server, moving them from one lan to the other. There is a mechanism on that within Linux to make the change (accessed by "system-config-network"). Wanted to try and find something like that in SME8. It really shouldn't be insurmountable just to change the IP address of the server.
As I said, every place I look has some other set of commands or location for the files.

PS SUCCESS.. the 2nd article above said "log in as ADMIN instead of ROOT". THANKS. Got it all changed, logged in via the web browser and can now finish setting it up. Thanks again.......
I've been logging into the phone servers for weeks fighting issues there and alway log in as "root". So, naturally did it here and it logged in fine. EXCEPT couldn't get to the console.
