Topic: Cant get the sme 5.5 webmail to work

Installed the genuine sme 5.5 server on a pIII-350/196 mb ram/8 gb hd/1 x nic and server only installation.

Internet access = OK
Updates = OK
LAN = OK
WEBsite = OK
Access to dir's = OK
ADSL 256/1024 ports open is 20/21/80/25
My ISP has no retrictions.

But i can't get the webmail to run.
As i try to connect to the webmail trough my browser i sure get the greeting site, from my sme server,  wich tell me :
Access to webmail on this server requires the use of SSL encryption. To access webmail over an encrypted connection, please click here.
Then i click, but i only get the message: this site cannot be accessed.
This from both the LAN as from outsite.

Tried to search the site here but didnt find anything that could help me, concerning this problem. Printet the manual out and have been reading all night.

Any clue's please.

Hi,

Have you enabled webmail in the server manager? (other e-mail settings)
If so, access webmail over httpS (with the S).

Tnx, i had set the webmail to https only. As i put it back to http and https it worked.

If you want secure email dont forget to open port 443 as well.

Yeap ! In the meanwhile i found out, and enabled it.
Tnx again for all your help and suggestions. Great board with a lot
