Topic: VMWare server on SME 8

I am following http://wiki.contribs.org/Vmware

I can´t seem to find smeserver-vmware-server anymore. Seemed to work fine a few weeks ago on another machine. Is it discontinued or just misplaced?
I used : yum install /path/to/VMware-server.rpm smeserver-vmware-server --enablerepo=smedev
And got result : No package smeserver-vmware-server available.


By the way, is there a simulair solution with a newer VMware product?

Vmware server v.2.0.2 works on SME8, but you will have to manually install it from rpm. Smeserver-vmware contrib is not really needed, just create the startup link to vmware service manually.
Alternative solution would be VirtualBox, that also works on SME8.
