Topic: IRC and FTP

Should I be able to use IRC and FTP(cuteFTP) from my Internat stations throught the server.? I'm using ADSL(Sympatico) and it works great for HTTP and Clicking on Download links. I see that the IRC and FTP modules are loaded at startup.. I connect to ADSL Manually after startup (ie logging in and running in and starting the ADSL module)

Any help would be Greatly appreciated!
