I have heard all the hype about how linux kicks ass over MicroCrap and I hoped that this thread wouldn't turn into a OS flame war, so that put aside, IF I was to setup SME on a LAN with NO internet connection at all, how would I setup linux email clients to connect to the SME's pop, I have tryed the name of the SME box, the actual pop address that it states in the server manager\configuration\hostnames and addresses. Or can SME only work if you have an internet connection and be physically hosting everything, web/email/ftp and have al the dns/mx/etc records pointing to it. I guess that really was my question.
And please no more messages to the liking of "MicroCrap sucks" type as i already know that, this is why I am trying desperatly to learn something that will actually work, and not just get the job done but kick ass at it, which SME will hopefully do once I get to know it better.
Thank you for Everyones input though, really appreciated!!
