[SOLVED] openvpn route "command not found"
« on: June 26, 2014, 04:27:11 PM »
Hi,

I just upgrade a SME 7.5.1 -> 7.6 -> 8 -> 8.1
OpenVPN was already installer (and I forgot to remove it)

I deleted all files and folders having a link with OpenVPN
I tried to install the 8.1 as said at : http://wiki.contribs.org/OpenVPN

Installation was fine but when I run it, I have this:
Code: [Select]
[root@sme-domain ~]# /etc/init.d/openvpn start
Starting openvpn :./openvpn.up: line 3: route: command not found
./openvpn.up: line 4: route: command not found
./openvpn.up: line 5: route: command not found
:-?
Do you have an idea to help me?

Thks.

PS :
Code: [Select]
[root@sme-domain ~]# /sbin/e-smith/audittools/newrpms

route is a binary that you should find in /sbin/route.  Is it there?  If not, your installation of the net-tools RPM would appear to be damaged.  You should be able to fix that with

# yum reinstall net-tools
......

Thanks for answers.

I replace "route" with "/sbin/route" in /etc/openvpn/openvpn.up and now openvpn start normaly.  :-)

I don't know why I must specify this because the $path is correct...
Code: [Select]
[root@sme-domain ~]# echo $PATH
/sbin/e-smith:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/root/bin
