Topic: .htaccess on SME Server

Hi there

i have some problems getting .htaccess to work on the standart instalation of SME 5.1.2 update 2

the files are just ignored and i cant se them with my ftp program  though i have checked  show dot files

i think i have to config something on the webserver but dont know what or how

and i cant find any info on what type of webserver is used in the SME Server

can someone help me  Please
??
