I am using 5.1.2 and a Tr4 10/20 gb IDE tape.
It responds to "/bin/mt -rewind" etc.
However when I run the /sbin/e-smithj/backup
it does not seem to complete the backup, and I get:

and when I follow Darrell's howto to list the files, it gives me:

Any ideas?
I tried "newtape" (as per an earlier posting), and also Darrell's tip to force the erase.
Cheers
