Topic: powstatd UPS rpm instal problem

Hi All
I have just done a clean instal of sme v5.5 in a software RAID1 configuration.
I also installed ezmlm (the latest web interface version) and
was also trying to instal powstatd. The v5.5 instal and ezmlm all went OK but

When I do
rpm -ivh powstatd-1.4.1-1.i386.rpm
I get the following
Preparing ####....  100%
1:powstatd   error: unpacking of archive failed on file:  cpio:
Archive file not in header

I cannot load the next package e-smith-powstatd.....
as I get a failed dependancies message (understandable as the first package
did not instal correctly)

I have downloaded the file(s) again from the e-smith ftp site but I still
get the same error message
I have previously installed this rpm on v4.1.2 without problem.
Can anyone help me resolve this please.

Ray,

I have just recently managed to install powstatd on 5.5 but it took a bit of work. Keep an eye on this thread and I will produce a How To in the next couple of days.
