guys please can you help

i have install the webshare contrib and created a webshare via the web as per: http://wiki.contribs.org/Webshare#Using_with_ibays_.26_SME_users for users

the users can login outside the network via the web to download and upload files etc. No problems with that

i forward all mail from the sme 8.1 server for one user to a gmail account

the user collects all mail via gmail on his mobile however the user needs to " save " the mail including attachments to a webshare subfolder on the sme 8.1 server

is this possible? if so how, or can you recommend another solution

any help greatly appreciated

Not really an answer, but the webshare contrib is pretty old. Maybe you want to give a more modern version a try e.g. Owncloud.

That seems counter intuitive & unneccessary.
Why not just get the user to access mail on the sme server via IMAP, & all the mail then stays resident on the server, no need to save to another folder ?

i have looked at owncloud however the client has an ibay with all his information ( documents, emails, pics etc. ) in many subfolders of the ibay(s).

i have given him access via the web from his mobile hence the " Using with ibays & SME users " http://wiki.contribs.org/Webshare#Using_with_ibays_.26_SME_users

that works very well.

the complication is that he will get an email message from a client on his mobile and want's to " save " a document(s) from an email message to one of the sub folders on the ibay(s) so that he can access the file(s) remotely whenever required and forward that to another party via email or print it etc. the client wants to be as mobile as possible.

the client is using an android mobile.

maybe a mobile app?, ftp?

any ideas ??

Maybe the SharedFolder contrib based on webdav and smb accessible could be an answer.
