Suggestions on an email responder.
« on: June 17, 2015, 06:59:06 PM »
Hi people,

Trying to get my head round a problem a friend of mine has with email and sme. He has a group called webresponse that receives email from the web and distributes it to 3 people. He would like to have this group send an autorespond to the affect saying it has been received. However should the destination reply again, he would like only the 3 users to get it, and not have them receive another autorespond!

Any suggestions?

Paul.

If you have 3 staff handling support/web requests it's time to go 'professional', for email by itself was never designed to perform such tasks.

Please take a look at http://osticket.com/

Installs just fine on SME Server 9.

Hi both,

Thank you for the suggestions, did try the vacation, but the mailbox filled up that was responding. Not sure if I can forward it to null? Or some way of deleting the email daily in that mailbox. Little beyond my skill set.
And not so much a business, they are a small local charity, populated by volunteers with little computer knowledge, so would prefer to keep it all in their mail program if possible.
