Backup to Ubuntu workstation how-to
« on: August 13, 2015, 09:15:54 AM »
Sorry if this has been covered somewhere already. I've searched for a while and haven't found an answer. Could someone point me to a how-to that gives directions on how to configure the backup to workstation routine so I can backup to a Ubuntu v14.04 workstation? I mostly need to know how to get the share pathname sorted out so the SME box can find the right location on the Ubuntu station.

Thanks......
......
Thanks for your help,
Henry

It depends of the protocol you want to use, either nfs or cifs, then you have to set it on the ubuntu side (/etc/exports for nfs and /etc/samba/smb.conf).

Once done in the backup panel you have to fill the relevant settings following the protocol you choose.
