Topic: An error occurred while modifying the i-bay

Fully updated Sme9 server which was restored from sme8x backup shortly after initial install.
yum clean -all
Then updated with all current updates.

When trying to modify or save ibay changes I get the following error:
Operation status report
An error occurred while modifying the i-bay.

message log file reveals the following snipit:
Running event handler: /etc/e-smith/events/ibay-modify/S15ibay-modify
usermod: cannot lock /etc/shadow; try again later.
Failed to modify (unix) account ibayname
User ibayname successfully modified!

This is the same any time an ibay is modified.
Is there a fix for this?

Please file a bug so devs can take a look. It sounds like a bug.
