Question Open source billing system on SME
« on: April 04, 2016, 02:09:08 PM »
Hi
Yes i have done some research but haven't been able to find suitable system for my needs.
I was wondering what all you other good people use for your stock control and invoicing.
Ideally i am looking for something i can load on my SME to run my accounts obviously free or very reasonably priced.

many thanks
john

I've never used it, but the cleanest product I've ever played with (for my workflow, at least) was http://www.kimai.org/

Bonus - from their github page it looks like it's still in active development, too.

John, I have used since 2007 ver 3.0.8, and updated through the years to now 4.12.3 with all history intact. Customising layouts for invoices, statements etc. is a bit of effort, please ask if you need some pointers.

another open-source web app I use for workflow management is osTicket. http://osticket.com/features

webERP install is well documented, not sure I could write a wiki page sensible enough to help anyone.

Both follow the same rules as most other php/apache/mysql apps, expand the files into an appropriately named ibay, create the database, set the config.php file with the correct details, voila!
