ftp://ftp.e-smith.org/pub/e-smith/updates/5.5/Update2/RPMS/ if you want to install the new files manually...

Because it isn't a blade at this time.

Hi there,

After installing the different packages manually, something strange happened to my blade overview.

Now it only shows a box of supported blades in witch there is nothing.

Before this update, I also had a box showing that I had installed update1 for my SME 5.5 server.

Is this a bug?

I have just completed applying the Update2 *.rpms. I did this manually because the "Update System" web panel did not appear to function properly. Several questions have now been raised.

Why does the "Blades" query return errors?
An error occurred while fetching the list of available blades:
Access to blades is currently available for registered servers.

What constitutes a "registered server"?

The supported blades lists "SMEServer-5.5_Update1 but also shows a **modified status which indicates that the blade may not work properly.

Using the "view log files" web panel, the new packages do not appear to be applied to the system.

History:
This server was created from a 5.1.2 CD installation
It was upgraded using a 5.5 CD
Update2 was applied manually
  rpm  -Uvh  --replacepkgs  *.rpm
  /sbin/e-smith/signal-event  post-upgrade
  /sbin/e-smith/signal-event  reboot

Using rpm -qa | grep xxxxx.rpm
I can verify that the 18 packages supplied with Update2 have been applied to the server.

Thanks, in advance, for your feedback.
Jim
