Hi

Have anybody had experience loading SME 5.1.2 or 5.5 on older Compaq?

I get a problem during boot up where the log says many of the processes are spawning too fast and so they are disabled....

The machine is a P66 with 64MB ram and 2GB HDD.

You will more than likely get a problem with only 16meg of the memory being recognised. See http://www.sulman.org/sme/mem.html
