SME behind Cisco Router

Hi All,

I am trying to setup an SME server 5.5 behind a cisco 1604 ISDN router.  I think I have set the server up properly but I cannot get any connection out to the internet.

I am using the static IP address setup method.  I think maybe I am getting confused in regards to which addresses get listed where.

I will list the IP relationship setup:

-Local network IP is set to a static IP for our network
-External IP is set to the external IP address given to us by our ISP (which logs in to our cisco router config program)
-Gateway is set to the internal IP address of our cisco router.
-Master DNS server is set to the Primary DNS Server of my ISP

Is this the correct config?

If so do I need to configure the router in any way.  I have done no configuration in regards to the router and I have a suspicious feeling this may be my problem.

Thanks,

Calvin

You need to configure the router. They are not a plug and play device.
Go to www.cisco.com if you want to have a go at doing it yourself.
Start reading the documentation. Or ask some friendly CCNA how to do it...
