There's no evidence of any problem on your side. You're trying to send emails to 169.1.1.77 (smtp.afrihost.co.za) which has a problem on their side. I guess the email you send to other hosts are OK.

well, using SME you can:
- send emails from your SME to the recipient server directly
- use a smarthost

how is configured your server?

Not sure if this will help your situation ....

When a sending mail from your server you would typically use the smtp server of your ISP.
That way the ISP trusts who you are & will send mail on your behalf.

If your server sends via other smtp servers, then they do not necessarily have a trust relationship with you (ie with your server & its domain name & static or dynamic IP) & may not send mail on your behalf.

You can set your ISP's smtp server in server manager Email panel.

If you are confident re the bona fides of your server, then your server can send directly to any other mail server on the Internet, you do not need to go via specific smtp servers, so in that case you do not configure your ISP's smtp server (or anyone elses for that matter).

my setup is as you explained and has been like that for all my servers.

i am using the smtp server of my ISP's

i do setup my ISP's smtp server in server manager Email panel

i think my problem is that i am not patient enough  :-)

i will wait and report back

guys please can you help

i can get email to be delivered however the isp requires that i change the smtp port to port 587 with authentication

I setup the sme 9.2 server to fetch mail from the isp smtp server as example below

     Address of Internet provider's mail server = smtp.isp.com
     SMTP Authentication for Internet provider = enabled
     Mail server user id = mailaccount@isp.com
     Mail server password = ispmailpassword

How do i change the smtp port to " 587 " for the isp smtp server requirement

my local users are using ms outlook 2010 and ms outlook 2013 with the following settings

Account Type = POP3
Incoming mail server = 192.168.0.10
Outgoing mail server (SMTP) = 192.168.0.10

UNDER MORE SETTINGS IN OUTLOOK
Outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication = ENABLED
   Use same settings as my incoming mail server

Advanced
Incoming server (POP3) = 110

Outgoing server (SMTP) =25

Use the following type of encrypted connection = Auto

Just as an aside, and possibly OT, if your ISP has swapped over to using Office 347 1/2 then see this bug:

https://bugs.contribs.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9050

If that is the case then each user has to authenticate to the smarthost using their own email credentials.

The only way round that is to either use Koozali SME as a the SMTP server directly, or find another SMTP smarthost.
